Need help pricing your Tat?
Pricing can get confusing for tattoos. Something we consider small could price different than expected. I thought id take the time out to establish how pricing is established- and it is always fairly assessed for both parties.
How Does Pricing..Work?
Minimum $80

$80 is The Thresholds minimum. This means a small tat could be $80 up to a certain size.Â

The photos to the left should give you and idea of $80 options. Prices change when things get more intricate, placement is intricate, the art is asked to be larger or we are using colors outside of black.
When pricing your tat consider the guidelines when budgeting yourself..

Guidlines:

One color only.
Up to 6inches.
Compared real life size is palm size.
Intricasy would increase price due to time.

$80 - $150

$80 services can grow based on changes that make the job more tedious. Not hard but tedious. More focus, more chance of mistakes (like fine thin lines)- expertise is non-negotiable to get the proper outcome. Yes the tat can be palm sized (4"-6") meeting $80 qualifications but the detail and work put into it changes the game rules.

Guidlines:

Is it Hand size or larger? (not palm)
Is the art detailed?
Is there more than one color?
Is shading necessary to bring a image to life properly?
Is the placement awkward or needing expertise to establish execution of this image or art? (fine line or specific art style like scripts)

$150 - $250
I'm sure you can imagine how much time and ink go into something larger. Colors, shades, lines, negative space, time. Great pictures have alot of elements. Things like sleeves, large images, words- there should be consultation to establish flows, changes and freehand drawing. This is when tatting gets REAL. Anything you need to bring a lunch for? Yea... Yea.Â
